J. Michael Entz

J. Michael Entz was born on March 27, 1956, and grew up on a small farm and ranch near Hydro, Oklahoma. Michael lives in Hydro with his family and maintains law offices in Oklahoma City and Weatherford.
Michael attended the University of Oklahoma College of Law where he obtained a Juris Doctorate degree, and also has received a Bachelor of Science degree from Oklahoma State University in Communications Consultancy. He has been practicing law in Oklahoma since October of 1987.
Michael is an attorney who has been practicing in the tax, elder law and trust area of the law for over thirty years. Over that time, he has worked as a legal intern at the Oklahoma Tax Commission, has worked for the Oklahoma State University Foundation, and has maintained a private law practice. He is admitted to practice law in Oklahoma and in the U. S. District Courts for the Western and Northern Districts of Oklahoma. Michael is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association and the American Bar Association. He is also a former Adjunct Instructor on Estate Planning, Trusts, and Wills at the University of Oklahoma College of Law – Paralegal Program.
After working with the Oklahoma Tax Commission, Michael organized estate planning for prospective donors as the Director of Planned Giving for the Oklahoma State University Foundation. While in this capacity, he helped donors throughout the country with estate planning and the tax issues involved in making a charitable gift to Oklahoma State University.
Michael’s practice is concentrated in financial and estate planning (wills, trusts, and probate matters) and family-owned business law.
